Eighty volunteers of all ages gathered at Unity Minneapolis to pack love into a Ziplock bag on Wednesday, August 24. In total the group made 966 sandwiches (bread, cheese and turkey bologna were donated by the volunteers) that went to feed the hungry or homeless in the Twin Cities. Outreach Ministry, Youth & Family Ministry and the Board of Trustees partnered with Allan Law, founder of the 363 Days Food Program and who’s commonly referred to as “The Sandwich Man.” Law showed up to talk to participants about his mission before setting out to hand deliver the sandwiches through the night. Before the assembly line and sandwich making began, the Board of Trustees and Ministers served volunteers pizza for dinner.
