This caring and sharing group is open to anyone over 16 years of age who has experienced the death of a loved one or any kind of loss (job loss, bankruptcy, moving, kids leaving home, divorce, miscarriage, abortion, friendships ending, health challenges, betrayals, loss of innocence, loss of reputation, retirement, etc.). It will cover a variety of issues related to experiencing a loss: stages of grief, survivor guilt, collective grieving, caregiver grief, unexpected loss, types of grief, grieving as a process, letting go, and the importance of spiritual practices and rituals. Dr. Michael Obsatz, Professor Emeritus, Macalester College taught a Death, Dying and Bereavement class at Macalester from 1976 – 2001. He has been part of the Unity community for 29 years since 1988, and is a co-founder of the Unity men’s group. Mike has facilitated many of the Unity Men’s Healing and Wholeness Retreats.
