– We have two scholarships for this class.
We’ll explore a carefully curated selection of dynamic accessible poetry written by contemporary poets Ross Gay, Joy Harjo, Natalie Diaz, David Whyte, Jericho Brown, Ellen Bass, and Michael Kleber-Diggs to inspire and uplift our hearts. We’ll read these poems aloud with performance poet Wendy Brown-Baez, discuss how they impact us, and then write our own poems of heartbreak and joy. This class culminates in a celebration of our/their work with a special appearance by award-winning poet Michael Kleber-Diggs. All levels of experience welcome!
