Experiencing Sacred Space

Sunday August 21 | 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM CT | Fillmore Room

Join us in a discussion of the experience of sacred space across different cultures.
We will explore these themes:
• Roles that Sacred Spaces provide
• Sacredness rooted in natural sites and human-made sites
• Sacredness rooted in a place versus being portable
• Experiences in these spaces
• Experiences at a site of conscience (scene of historical trauma)
• Trauma in being separated from a space sacred to your consciousness
• How are preserve landscapes in sacred status; how can they be reclaimed
This presentation is a useful companion session for the Healing Minnesota Stories – Native American Sacred Sites Tour scheduled for August 26th.
Facilitators: John and Marie Pettingill
