Demystifying the Chakras
Sunday, Jan. 16 | 1 PM CT | via Zoom
The chakras are vortexes of energy within the body that correspond to the nerve ganglia along the spine, a network through which body, mind and spirit interact. These energy vortexes also correspond to glands in the endocrine system and effect various processes such as breathing, digesting, metabolizing, processing, etc. Psychologically, chakras correspond to major areas of our lives: security and survival, sexuality and pleasure, personal power, love and compassion, communication and authentic expression, imagination and intuition, and our connection to Source and all that is. Basically, our chakras effect all levels of our being: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
In this workshop, you will experience the energy of each chakra. You will be gently guided through the 7 main energy centers in the body/mind using: breath, movement, affirmations, and gentle Yoga. All movement and yoga can be done either on a mat or in a chair.
All levels welcome! No prior Yoga experience needed.
Workshop will end with a Yoga Nidra experience-a deeply relaxing guided meditation though all levels of your being.
Leave with a sense of peace, joy, and presence, and a deeper understanding of your own internal energies.
Dress for gentle movement, have a mat or chair available and a blanket.
Registration Required. Zoom link shared after registration.
