Children’s Winter Arts & Crafts Class

Who: Open to all children ages 6-11. Class size limited to 20.
When: Thursdays December 1-29 from 4:30-5:45 PM
Where: Unity Minneapolis, Youth & Family Ministry rooms – 4000 Golden Valley Rd, Golden valley, MN 55422
Why: Your children will learn art concepts, experiment with a variety of art materials, and create unique pieces of art all while learning about the many of winter holidays celebrated around the world.
What: Each week, kids will make fridge-worthy art projects based on winter holidays around the world that occur during this time, including Hannukah, Yule, Kwanzaa, and Christmas (and various traditional celebrations thereof).

This class is taught by Bryanna Kirwin-Dooley, a former Youth Of Unity who is currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota majoring in psychology and minoring in art to become an art therapist. She has worked as camp counselor, service worker, and a bilingual art instructor. Working with people of different ages, backgrounds, and personality types has enabled her to expand her perspective and navigate individual challenges. Bryanna loves working with children and hopes to continue sharing art centered with them!

Parents/caregivers invited to stick around in their own area and enjoy snacks and connection with other adults of art-class goers. There will also be a quiet space with internet connection available to adults during that time.

Cost: Register by November 15th for the early bird discount: $25 for the first child in your household, $15 for the 2nd and $10 for the, 3rd for a max $50/family. After November 15th, the price is $35, $20 and $15, for a max of $70/family. Cost: cover art supplies and support Bryanna.
