Celebrating the Season of Light:
Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa

Wednesdays | Nov 30 – Dec 28 | 7PM – 8:30PM CT | Fillmore Room

December is the Season of Light and Celebration – The light of reason, the light of faith, the light of culture and tradition, the light that heralds the immanent presence of a higher Power – all of these resonate when we think about darkness giving way to light:

Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, marking the point at which the life-giving sun’s retreat before darkness begins to reverse itself, the triumph of light over darkness

Hannukah, commemorating the rededication of the Jewish Temple in 2nd century BCE and the miracle of the oil lamps, symbolizing the resilience/survival of the Jewish people

Christmas, celebrating the birth of the Christ Child, the birth/rebirth of the Christ Consciousness that is within each of us. This is the appointed time when we choose to awaken/re-awaken to the Divine that is us

Kwanzaa, celebrating African American culture, dedicated to seven principles of African Heritage
Join us on Wednesday evenings from 7PM to 8:30PM during Advent as we explore and celebrate this Season of Light through a multi-cultural lens:
