Ongoing — Crucial Conversation Skills

Wednesday |  June 24 – July 29 | 7 PM CT | Via Zoom

Crucial Conversation Skills enhance effective communication and strengthen our ability to stay in dialogue when emotions are driving us to ‘shout out’ or ‘shut down.’  This course provides knowledge and tools for listening, creating connection, and facilitating dialogue in tough, emotional situations.

The principles and models drawn from two books, Crucial Conversations and Non-Violent Communication, are aligned with spiritual practices.  The course includes:

  • taking responsibility for our own experience
  • increasing awareness of our own feelings/needs
  • increasing awareness of the feelings/needs of the people with whom we interact
  • having the capacity to be authentic and compassionate in both the mundane and crucial conversations

Suggested love offering: $10 per session

Books:
Crucial Conversations by Patterson, Grenny, McMillan, Switzler
Nonviolent Communication by Marshall B. Rosenberg
