A Heart-to-Heart Message from Rev. Pat Williamson
Dear Beloved Unity Minneapolis Community,
My heart is with your heart as we have witnessed and continue to witness the grief, rage and despair over injustice and inequity in our city and our world. And I have spoken with many of you who are feeling the pain and suffering. Prayer is always the beginning place for healing and peace. Do it, it works.
Unity Minneapolis’ vision is a “world transformed by love, peace, and compassion.” And we have been called to carry out this vision through prayer, education and service. Two major things have happened as a catalyst to transform the world: COVID19 and the death of George Floyd. We use Unity Principles of love, compassion, and Oneness to help facilitate transformation.
My prayer is that things do not return to the way they were, and instead true transformation takes place. May we open our hearts and minds to be “transformed at depth” and facilitate change. Why? Because we are here. If not I, who?
Someone recently said to me, “we need more Unity Churches”, and we do! COVID19 has shown us that you and I are the church, not the building. You, my dear friend, are the one that takes Unity Minneapolis into the world with your thoughts, words, and actions.
I invite you to begin today to use A Prayer for the Wounded Heart of Humanity. There is power in a collective consciousness of prayer, as we join with other Unity congregations and individuals expressing love, peace, and compassion. I love and miss you so much. And look forward to when we can gather again safely.
Love and Blessings,

A Prayer for the Wounded Heart of Humanity
We call upon God’s Love in this important moment, knowing that Divine Love is the greatest power in the Universe. We pray for the wounded heart of humanity as we grieve, rage, cry, and despair over injustice and inequity. May Divine Love enfold and comfort everyone who is hurting. May Divine Wisdom guide each person and institution in taking inspired action to ensure that all are celebrated for their inherent goodness as a part of God’s creation. May we remain resolute in walking the course of human rights and social justice for all. We pray in the spirit of unity, love, and oneness. Amen.Courtesy of Unity Worldwide Ministries
