Paul’s Letter to the Hebrews, says: “Therefore, let us go on toward perfection, leaving behind the basic teaching about Christ, and let us press on toward maturity.” I believe that we are to mature in our spiritual life. Explore new things, new ideas and grow into maturity with the Christ Presence.

Theme: What Do I Really Need?
Lesson: What I Need Is a Purpose
Speaker: Rev. Pat Williamson
Meditation: Rev. Jeanette Bohnen
Music: Dave Berget Jennifer Parker

We all have a unique purpose in life and no one else can fulfill that purpose. I believe that it was stamped on our soul when we came into this incarnation. I also believe that in order for us to feel that our needs are met, we have to step into the direction of our purpose. John Maxwell said: “Some people have a thousand reasons why they cannot do what they want to do, when all they need is one reason why they can.”

Service Times: 8:15 | 9:45 | 11:30 AM

Theme: What Do I Really Need?
Lesson: An Understanding Heart
Speaker: Rev. Pat Williamson
Meditation: Rev. Patty Williams
Music: Judi Vinar and the Unity Band

We all want to be understood, and yet we are called first to understand. When God gave King Solomon the opportunity to ask for anything he desired, the king answered: “Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong.” (1 Kings 3:9)

This Mother’s Day we honor a mother’s understanding heart.

Theme: What Do I Really Need?
Lesson: Hell in the Hallway, Light at the Door
Speaker: Rev. Ellen Debenport
Meditation: Rev. Pat Williamson
Music:  Rachel Holder Hennig and Jennifer Parker

Our guest, Rev. Ellen Debenport, well-known author and speaker, takes us through the hallway to the light. Let us not get stuck there. The Psalmist reminds us that we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, and yet I say we don’t build condos there.

Service Times: 8:15 | 9:45 | 11:30 AM

Theme: What Do I Really Need?
Lesson: Appreciation or Depreciation?
Speaker: Rev. Pat Williamson
Meditation: Rev. Patty Williams
Music: The Unity Quartet

We get to choose whether we are appreciating ourselves or depreciating ourselves. We all want to be appreciated, and yet we begin the process by learning to love and appreciate ourselves, for the image others have of you is often the image you have of yourself.

Service Times: 8:15 | 9:45 | 11:30 AM

Theme: What Do I Really Need?
Lesson: Security in a Changing World
Speaker: Rev. Pat Williamson
Meditation: Rev. Jeanette Bohnen
Music: Dane Stauffer

Why do people worry? For many reasons, and yet we are told not to worry or be anxious in all circumstances. Jesus, in his Sermon on the Mount, said: “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself.” So if we want to feel secure in a rapidly changing world, we must put our faith in something bigger than ourselves, a Higher Power that many of us call God.
